Terms of Use

These terms cover the Rwnd app and rwnd.app, and using either means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.

Rwnd is made by Heritage Times LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. “We” and “us” below mean that company.

What Rwnd is

Rwnd is a personal record of what you have watched and played, and what you own. It is local‑first: the free app has no account and no server holding your library. What you log stays on your device unless you turn on Backup.

Rwnd is a private catalogue, not a streaming service. It plays nothing and hosts nothing. Where it links to a shop or a streaming service, that is a link — your dealings there are with them.

The free app and Rwnd Pro

The app is free. A one‑time payment for Rwnd Pro adds Backup, sync across your devices, family sharing, the other three themes, and avatars. It is a purchase, not a subscription: there is nothing to cancel and nothing that renews.

The purchase is made through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms, and refunds are theirs to give. Ask them first — we cannot refund a payment we never received.

Pro belongs to the account that bought it, so it follows you to a new phone on the same store account. Apple and Google are separate stores, and a purchase in one is not a purchase in the other.

Your library is yours

You own what you put into Rwnd. We claim no rights over your watches, ratings, statuses or lists, and we do not sell them, mine them, or train anything on them. You can export your library at any time, and deleting the app or your Backup account takes it with it.

Family sharing

Backup includes sharing one collection with up to three other people. A household shares what it owns. Ratings and watch history are never shared and are never readable by a relative — that is enforced by the database rules, not by politeness in the app.

The person who created the shared collection can add, change and remove. Everyone else can add, and cannot remove anything, including what they added themselves. Inviting someone means giving them their own view of that shelf; if you would not want them to see it, do not put it there.

Where the information comes from

Descriptions, artwork, ratings and availability come from third‑party catalogues: TMDB for films and television, RAWG for games, and JustWatch through TMDB for rent and buy availability. Rwnd is not endorsed or certified by any of them.

That information is theirs, not ours, and we cannot promise it is accurate, complete or current. A wrong runtime, a missing game, or a store link that has moved is a fault in the catalogue, and the fix is usually theirs to make.

What we ask of you

• Do not use Rwnd to break the law, and do not use it to catalogue material that is illegal to possess.
• Do not attempt to extract the catalogues wholesale through the app, work around Pro, or disrupt the service for other people.
• Do not use the Backup service to store anything other than your own library.
• Do not enter another person’s information into a shared collection without their agreement.

Changes to the app

Rwnd is actively developed. Features change, and occasionally one is removed because it cannot be maintained honestly. If a third‑party catalogue changes its terms or withdraws access, the part of Rwnd that depends on it may change or stop, and that is outside our control.

We will not remove something you have already paid for without giving you a way to get your library out.

Ending it

You can stop using Rwnd at any time by deleting it. If you have a Backup account you can delete the account and its stored library from inside the app; instructions, including what to do if you can no longer open the app, are on the delete your account page.

We may suspend an account being used to attack the service or break these terms. If we do, we will say why, and you will still be able to get your library out.

No warranty

Rwnd is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or that Backup will always be reachable. Backup is a convenience, not an archive of record: keep your own export if your library matters to you.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Heritage Times LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid for Rwnd — which for most people is nothing, and for everyone is the price of Pro.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law. Some places do not allow these exclusions, and in those places they do not apply to you.

Children

Rwnd is not directed at children under 13 and is not for their use.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date above changes and the app will note it. Continuing to use Rwnd after that means accepting the new version. If you do not, delete the app — and if you had bought Pro and object to a change we made, get in touch.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict‑of‑law rules. Any dispute arising out of them will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you and we each consent to that jurisdiction.
